The Look In Her Eyes

There are things we write about too often
like the look in her eyes,
but there are other things
worth mentioning

Like the blue sky above
and the steam vessel's blow;
A song-singing robin
singing Sweet and low.

When I am painting, I paint what I see,
not what I feel.
As I am writing, I only write what I feel

Why can't I write what I see tonight?
Why can't I paint when it feels so write?

The trick is to see with your heart
Then you'll be ready to start

To use all the colors
The purples and greys
As well as the blues and whites
Write about everything in sight

The star-filled sky that looms above
The look in the eyes of a girl in love,
A song-singing robin
singing sweet and low

There are things I write about too often
like the look in your eyes

"This is the one form of government where the residents who are being represented
by those that are elected can actually reach out and touch their elected officials
and have a discourse. It would be nice if more of that was to take place"
Upper Makefield's Township Representative Bud Baldwin

"More than any time in recent history, America's destiny is not of our own choosing.
We did not seek nor did we provoke an assault on our freedom and our way of life.
We did not expect nor did we invite a confrontation with evil. Yet the true measure of
a
people's strength is how they rise to master that moment when it does arrive -
The streets of heaven are too crowded with angels, but every time we think we have
measured our capacity to meet a challenge, we look up and we'
re reminded that that
capacity may well be limitless. This is a time for American heroes. We will do what is hard.
We will achieve what is great. This is a time for American heroes and we reach for the stars"
Aaron Sorkin, West Wing ("20 Hours in America": I & II; aired September 25, 2002)

"Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go"
T.S. Eliot

"Imagination is more important than knowledge"
Albert Einstein

"Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the staircase"

"Art is anything made by man that can withstand the storms of time"
Stuart Yost
